How We Show Reviews
The reviews on our site are our customers' own words, as they wrote them. We never write, buy or commission reviews, we never reward anyone for leaving one, and we never edit one.
Reviews from Trustpilot
Trustpilot is an independent review site, where anyone who has bought from us can review us, whatever they have to say. Where our site shows our TrustScore and how many reviews it is from, those are the figures Trustpilot showed on the date we give beside them, and we update them when they change.
The reviews from Trustpilot on our site are ones we have chosen, so we call them selected reviews. Each is copied exactly as its author wrote it, with its star rating and its date, and links to the review on Trustpilot, where you can read every review of us. When the reviews we show all have the same star rating, we say so beside them.
How we ask for reviews
After every order is delivered, our delivery email invites the customer to review what they bought and our service. We invite every customer in the same way, whatever we think they might say, and we never offer anything in return for a review. We may also ask Trustpilot to invite you to review us there.
Reviews on our product pages
A product's reviews come from two places:
- Reviews written on our site. Only a customer whose order included the product can review it. We check each review before it's published, and we publish every genuine review, whatever its star rating, unless it falls under "Reviews we leave out" below. Each shows the name its author chose, its star rating and its date.
- Reviews from before our new site. These were left on the review service our shop used before, Judge.me, and are shown as they were written.
Every rating counts in the product's average, except those of reviews written on our site that we leave out.
Reviews we leave out
UK advertising rules count any review a shop shows as the shop's own claim, and a CBD product may not be presented as a medicine. So, whatever their star rating, we don't show reviews that mention a medical condition, an effect on the body or the mind, children or pets. We also don't publish a review that's offensive or unlawful, that includes someone's personal details, or that isn't about a product or our service. Every Trustpilot review is on Trustpilot for anyone to read, and the ratings of those we leave out still count in our TrustScore there.
Reporting a review
If you think a review on our site is fake, or was written in return for something, please email us at help@thecbdshop.co.uk and we will look into it. You can also report a review on Trustpilot itself, using the flag beside it.
